Westgate station is situated on the Bradford, Wakefield & Leeds Railway between Wortley Leeds & the L & Y at Ings road junction near Wakefield Kirgate.
(Nothing to do with Bradford).
The G.N.R acquired rights over the line &
rebuilt the station here in 1867.
A new station was built in 1967 the
entrance on Westgate is the only remaining part of the original
building. |
